OM, homenagem à venerável perfeição da sabedoria!
Quando o bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara praticava profundamente a perfeição da sabedoria, viu claramente que os cinco agregados [forma, sensações, percepções, vontade, consciência] são vazios em sua natureza. Assim, libertou-se de todas as tristezas e sofrimentos.
Ó Shariputra, a forma não é diferente do vazio, o vazio não é diferente da forma. A forma é somente o vazio, o vazio é somente a forma. As sensações, percepções, vontade e consciência também são assim.
Ó Shariputra, todos os fenômenos são vazios. Não aparecem nem desaparecem, não são impuros nem puros, não crescem nem diminuem. Portanto, no vazio não há forma, sensação, percepção, vontade, consciência; não há olho, ouvido, nariz, língua, corpo, mente; não há cor, som, cheiro, sabor, tato, fenômeno; não há [reino dos sentidos, desde] o reino da visão até o reino da mente; não há [elos da existência dependente, desde] a ignorância e o fim da ignorância até a velhice-e-morte e a fim da velhice-e-morte; não há [as Verdades Nobres sobre] o Sofrimento, a Origem, a Cessação, o Caminho; não há sabedoria, nem ganho, nenhum ganho.
Sem o que ganhar, o Bodhisattva permanece na perfeição da sabedoria e não tem obstáculos em sua mente. Sem obstáculos e, portanto, sem medo, ele fica bem distante das delusões; isto é o nirvana.
